Expressionist Egyptian artist Hala El Sharouny graduated from Cairo’s Helwan University in 2004 and holds a Masters degree in painting and drawing. Her work is characterised by its dynamic, playful techniques, and it addresses contemporary social issues such as women and society with a twist of humour using a diverse and vibrant palette. El Sharouny’s artwork has been exhibited in Egyptian and international art institutions at four solo exhibitions and several group shows. Her paintings are part of private collections in 19 countries including Egypt, France, Kuwait, USA, UAE, Canada, and Argentina.
