Act Notes: Awakening

The individual and the collective meet beneath a shared spiritual centre.
While aspiration projects imagined futures onto the horizon, the tree quietly embodies an already existing home.

The work becomes a moment of awakening where projection, rootedness, balance, and collective consciousness converge.

Scene Notes

The sun sustains balance between individual and collective existence.

Objects only become active through relation.

Projection becomes both hope and blindness. 

THE INDIVIDUAL

The singular self remains suspended between survival, desire, and aspiration.

Isolated consciousness dreams of expansion while remaining grounded within earthly existence. 

THE COLLECTIVE

(The Cassava Plantation)

Labour, continuity, ancestry, and shared existence expand beyond the individual self.

Abundance emerges collectively, where growth becomes larger than personal aspiration alone. 

THE CENTRE

(The Tree)

The tree remains still at the centre of the stage.

Both the individual and the collective project dreams toward imagined futures, while overlooking the home that already exists before them.
