Provenance: direct from the artist.
In Perfect Imperfections, the artist explores the quiet tension between control and authenticity. The composition unfolds with deliberate symmetry — vases of roses, patterned tiles, and a centered figure poised within the geometry of perfection. Yet this harmony is gently disrupted as the seated figure extends one leg, breaking the order in a subtle act of rebellion.
This gesture becomes a metaphor for the struggle with perfectionism, the desire to meet impossible standards and the liberation found in imperfection. The subtle asymmetries in the vases and the relaxed, nonconforming pose of the figure reflect the artist’s invitation to embrace difference: to recognize that what sets us apart is what makes us whole.
Like the parrot, a recurring symbol of adaptability, the work speaks to how life’s varied experiences shape our individuality and the way we perceive the world. Perfect Imperfections reminds us that true beauty lies not in flawlessness, but in the courage to deviate, to adapt, and to be unapologetically ourselves.
